Born on the Border is my debut poetry collection. The poems provide a different perspective of life on the United States-Mexico border compared to modern media portrayals.

Compassion and complexity are at the center of topics such as identity, family, socioeconomic status, and immigration. These topics speak not only to the Mexican-American experience but to the experience of many. This poet calls on readers to see the parallels in their lives and reflect on the notion that we have more in common than what separates us.
